Banco Sabadell has started up an advertising campaign in order to reinforce its leading position in remote banking via mobile devices.
The campaign, using the slogan "This isn't remote banking, it's taking the bank with you", aims to remind customers that they can carry out most of their financial operations, even when they're away from their home or workplace, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, via their mobile phone.
Active on all mobile phone platforms
For some years now, Banco Sabadell has been making a significant effort to position itself as a benchmark in mobile telephony. It's currently the only bank in Spain that accepts operations on all platforms (Iphone/Ipad, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone).
Today, 80% of Sabadell's customer operations are already carried out via remote banking. Of this figure, 15% of customers access their accounts via the different mobile phone channels.
High profile on social networks
Banco Sabadell has also made a significant effort in the area of social networks. In addition to providing information on the company's key innovations and on everything related to its products and services, it also provides a customer care service via Facebook and Twitter, being the only Spanish bank to attend to its customers 24 hours a day, every day of the week through these channels.
Pioneering in depositing cheques via mobile phone
Banco Sabadell is also the only bank in Europe to allow cheques to be deposited via mobile phone. Through its InstantCheck application, cheques can be deposited into an account in real time, recording the document's image with the mobile phone's camera.
Significant growth forecast
According to Miguel Montes, the Bank's Deputy General Manager: "Over the next few years, we will see major growth in operations via mobile channels. In fact, the process has already started. Queries via social networks and particularly Twitter are increasing non-stop. Some customers have even started asking for commercial offers via this channel."
The Director of Operations and Corporate Development at the Banco Sabadell Group maintains that we are witnessing a phenomenon that is "coherent with what's already happening in the United States, where access to banks via mobiles and pads has almost overtaken the number of accesses via PC". In the opinion of Mr. Montes "It wouldn't be a surprise if, in the medium term, mobile terminals ended up becoming the main means of connection for many users."
